Eutierria is the name of my first EP that was released at the end of 2025.
“ it means; a good and positive feeling of oneness with the earth and its life forces. ‘eu’ comes from the Greek word for “good” and tierra means Earth.
Eutierria refers to secular experiences but echoes the “oceanic” feeling identified in various world religious traditions. When it occurs, your perception of the boundaries between yourself and everything else, the thoughts and feelings setting you off from the rest of the cosmos, seem to evaporate. The distinction between you and nature breaks down. You become one with the universe. A reassuring sense of harmony and connection with the world infuses your consciousness. It’s an experience that matches up with the knowledge of your own dependence on and connection to the world.”
Since nature is my greatest source of inspiration, a first musical project like this felt like a logical choice
My Approach
The project starts from the question:
How can a feeling of connection to nature be communicated through sound?
Instead of focusing on melody or structure first, the approach is centered around atmosphere, texture, and spatial perception.
Process
1. Concept translation
The idea of “Eutierria” is broken down into key qualities:
- Calmness
- Continuity
- Balance
- Immersion
These serve as the foundation for the sound design.
2. Sound exploration
Different types of sounds are explored and selected based on how they contribute to the overall feeling:
- Organic vs. synthetic textures
- Continuous vs. fragmented sounds
- Foreground vs. background elements
The focus is on how the sounds interact and blend together.
3. Composition & layering
Sounds are arranged to create a sense of depth and space:
- Layering to build atmosphere
- Subtle changes over time to maintain movement
- Transitions that feel gradual and natural
The composition avoids sharp contrasts to maintain a sense of flow.
4. Refinement
The final stage focuses on:
- Balancing all elements
- Removing anything that disrupts the overall calm
- Strengthening the immersive quality of the piece
Lastly I sent it to a mastering engineer who gave the final varnish to all the songs and then I published them with the help of a known publishing company. This was to get it on all streaming platforms. I hope you enjoy.
